The Warwick Foundation, a charity focusing on raising funds to support young people 18-40 living with cancer, will attempt to break the Guinness World Record for ‘The Most People Runing in High Heeled Shoes’ on Saturday 10 April 2010.
It costs just $25 to register, and if you’re not up for the run then you can sponsor a friend. Registration fees and the money you raise through sponsorship will go directly to the Warwick Foundation’s ‘Mates in My Shoes’ program.
If you’re interested in participating, come along to home of the Western Bulldogs – Whitten Oval, 417 Barkly St, Footscray and run 80 metres!
You must arrive between 10.00am – 10.30am to register and have your high heels measured. All participants receive a goodie bag with gifts from sponsors Roses Only, Revlon and Magnolia Silver Jewellery. There are also fabulous prizes for the Top 3 fundraisers (including custom made high heels courtesy of courtesy of princesschic.com.au) and there will also be spot prizes on the day for the best outfits.
So support a great cause by joining in, sponsoring or just coming along on the day to cheer along the runners! Men are definitely encouraged to join in the record attempt!
